Bio
Guess My Occupation...
I am a mother of four children, and I have a wonderful husband that
gets so wrapped up in his work that he forgets to come home sometimes.See
if you can figure it out. I have a full time job just being a mother and
housewife, chief cook and bottlewasher, and whatever else comes my way.
Lots of overtime, no compensation, except a loving family that takes me
for granted most of the time. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
In the near future, I hope to continue my education, and get my Barbers
License. I enjoy cutting hair, but I want to do the other things that a
Barber can do. I don't lack much, but getting back with all these kids
has been difficult.
My family and I attend the Kerens Church of Christ, where my husband
and I teach the Kids for Christ program with Sharon Langley. It is an outreach
program for kids in the community who have no church home or church influence
in their lives. We average about 15 in attendance. I am in charge of finding
crafts for the kids to do that tie in to the lesson.
My two oldest children are Jasonn and Jessica, ages 11 and 10. We thought
we were done after Jessica, but 7 years later, Joshua showed up. When Josh
was born, we thought we took all the measure we needed to prevent anymore
children. Two years later, I was pregnant with Jordan. It was a hard pregnancy
for me, because I didn't want any more children. But now that he is here,
I realize that God sent him to me. He has been a blessing, as are all of
my children.

This is one of my best friends home page. My husband met her in the pregnancy
chat room at BabyCenter. After she got past her thinking that he was some
sort of pervert, we got to know her over the internet, then went to her
house and met her and her family in person, and have become best friends.
We ICQ each other every day, and if my husband would get off his duff and
fix IPhone, we would talk over the Net every day, too.

Personal Interests

Breastfeeding
-
I have breastfed each of my children, and I feel strongly that this is
the way that God meant for us to do it. I worked for a time as a consultant
with WIC (Women, Infants, Children), and helped a lot of new mothers get
started in nursing their babies.

Motherhood

With four kids, I am always looking for ways to make ends meet, and free
up a little more time in my busy schedule.

Special Olympics

My daughter, Jessica, was born with a Chromosome disorder called 6p2 Trisomy.
We were told that she would not live past a year of age. She turned 10
years old in December. She is a little delayed, but she is very healthy.
She participated in her first Special Olympics 2 years ago. I cried in
joy thru the whole thing, not only for her, but for all the special children
that participated. We go every year now, and wouldn't miss it for the world.
Even if you don't have one of these special children, you are still welcome
to go and watch them. They enjoy you being there, and you come out with
a better outlook on life in general.
